2017 Missionary Orientation Program or M.O.P.

(This is a little late, but wanted to include this important part of our journey)

CMML offers one week of missionary training for those who are headed to the foreign field or just interested in serving the Lord in foreign missions. This was a great week of training for us as we prepare for Tanzania, and we would highly recommend it for anyone who may be interested in foreign missions.

The training took place at Greenwood Hills in Fayetteville, PA and was given by experienced missionaries who have served in various parts of the world for many years. We soaked up the excellent teaching, took lots of notes, and enjoyed the variety of topics offered. They covered everything from the Gospel, commendation, spiritual warfare, interpersonal relationships, why missionaries fail, language learning, relating to other cultures, and the philosophy and strategy for foreign missions to name a few.

The best part of the week was the fellowship with other likeminded believers at meal times! So encouraging to meet so many who are burdened to take the Gospel to various parts of the world. Each meal we would sit at a different table and hear afresh how the Lord has been leading and speaking, the lessons they have learned, and their plans for the future. We have been blessed with many new friends and prayer partners who are on a similar journey as ourselves.

Now we are officially and proudly called "Mopsters" 😀
